Sally Gorton

A Surrey artist working in watercolour, pastel, acrylic and oils.

Biography

I studied illustration at Epsom School of Art and for many years since I have enjoyed working in watercolour, pastel and oil paints.

After teaching in Adult Education for around fifteen years, I now teach privately and specialise in beginners/improvers tuition at my home near Godalming.

I take a variety of commissions. My subjects vary and have included buildings, gardens, people, animals and classic cars.

I also give illustrated talks to groups and societies. These tell the story of how certain paintings were created, accompanied by some lively anecdotes!

I exhibit regularly with Guildford Art Society at Guildford House, where I have been artist in residence on several occasions, and at VivArtis, King Edward's School, Witley.
My work has also been seen at many other Surrey venues including Cranleigh Arts Centre, Watts Gallery at Compton and The Harvey Gallery in Guildford.
